Scene

A scene is a file containing all the information necessary to identify and position all of the models, lights and cameras for rendering.

A scene can be identified with the 3-D coordinate space in which rendering takes place. This space is often called the "global" coordinate space, as opposed to the "local" coordinate spaces associated with each individual object in the scene.
