Hi rob,

I'm not sure I'm following you on this. Are you suggesting some type of server-side scan (i.e., the contents of the page are examined by a server-side tool, with targeted links inserted prior to delivery to the browser)?

It would be nice to set this up as a form where you paste text in and it outputs text with links inserted. That way you can create pages that are seo friendly.

Hi Bob,

I think an ASP.NET port (as well as a PHP port, at least) would be a good addition to the script; but I honestly can't see it happening in the immediate future. They should certainly be doable, however.

In the mean time, if you have Perl on your server you might just give the Perl version a shot anyways, you may find it an easier deployment than you think. For a typical deployment you really shouldn't need any RegExp experience, and the README has example integration code that you could at least start with for retrieving your terms from a MySQL database or a flat XML file. (So, theoretically at least, if you can get your data into either of these formats, then you could use the example code as is for the get_data subroutine).

In any event, thanks for the comment and the suggestion!

Any chance this can be converted to ASP.NET rather than Perl? I would attempt this but I have no Perl experience, limited .NET and even less Regex experience which I am sure comes into play here!
