Hiermenus Go Forth*, III:
Version 4 - The External Arrays - Menu and Item Parameters

HierMenus
CENTRAL
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This column is the third in a multi-column discussion of a new version of the hierarchical menu script.
Until our discussion is complete, the current version of the script will still be the latest maintenance release of Version 3: 3.10.3.
Read this column, and future columns, to learn how we built the menu script.
Use the most recent version of the script, always available in HierMenus Central.

This time, we will look at

  1. The structure of child menu arrays, and

  2. The Item-Specific Parameters, which affect the look and behavior of menu items and exist in both top-level and child menu arrays.

We will learn how to expand the HM functionality beyond just Hierarchical Menus to include:

First, let's look at the structure of the arrays that create child menus.
