Version 4.2.2 - The Complete Script (Full-Window)

HM_xx_ScrollBothBars

Version 4.2.2 introduces a new scroll-related parameter variable, HM_xx_ScrollBothBars. When set to true, tall menus that are scrollable will display both scrollbars at all times. When scrolling was introduced in Version 4.2, scrollbars would appear only when needed. That is, if the first menu item was visible, and the user could not scroll up, then no top scrollbar would appear. Likewise, if the last menu item was visible, and the user could not scroll down, then no bottom scrollbar would appear.

As Andrew Beardsley suggested, a user might inadvertantly click on a menu item if the menu stopped scrolling and a previously-visible scrollbar disappeared. With both scrollbars always visible this could be avoided.

In any case, the scrollbar behavior is a matter of personal preference, and varies between authors. However, we have now provided both behaviors for all supported browsers:

1. HM_xx_ScrollBothBars = false (default):

2.HM_xx_ScrollBothBars = true:
