Assessing the
Original Image
I snapped this picture while on a photoshoot in New York with my Kodak DC260. I liked the architecture and all, but the image itself was dull and gray. It lacked contrast, it was blurry, and had a slight green color cast.
This is not a simple a result of poor photography or bad lighting. In my experience, most digital cameras capture images that need a contrast and sharpness boost, and in this case, the overcast day created other exposure problems that the camera wasn't able to overcome.
My initial point here is that while this image is in obvious need of help, you will find that most digital camera images can benefit at least a little from this procedure.
