Microtech redesign- Pg7- Giordan On Graphics
The redesign for Microtech International left them with a site that looked
a lot better than when we started. In addition, it created an easy to update
grid that allowed updates of new information. For phase one of the project
we focused primarily on the top two or three layers of the site.
The second phase will add additional product details, and simplify the tables of part numbers and product data. Microtech could go further and add industry articles on digital photography and technology, which could stimulate further interest in their products. Admittedly though, people come to them to learn about how a SCSI PC Card reader attaches to their PC, or about when their new USB to SCSI converter will be shipping. Broader issues of digital photography application are secondary to their visit. In this regard, Microtech now has a solid Web site that has a clear identity and purpose.
I'm sure it will grow and change as all sites do, but the foundation of design and organization should serve them well for the foreseeable future.
