Loading Full Color Fills

Open Pattern Fill Window
Create a rectangle at least 3" wide and high, with no fill. Select
the rectangle with the Pick Tool. Choose the Fill Tool from the Toolbox
to open the fly-out. Choose the third icon to open the Pattern Fill
Window.

Choose Full Color Pattern Type
Choose the Full Color option in the Pattern Fill window.

Load Pattern File
Click on the Load button to open the Import screen. Specify the folder
where the file you wish to load is located. You may wish to specify
the type of file from the Files of Type drop-down selector. (The selector
lists all types of files that can be used for Full Color fills - not
all files are appropriate for patterns - this is simply the list of
accepted formats.) Choose the file you wish to use and click Open.

Choose New Pattern
The pattern you have chosen will now show in the pattern selector preview
in the Pattern Fill window. Click OK.

Pattern Fill Results
Your rectangle will be filled with the Full Color pattern. If you would
like the pattern repeat to be larger or smaller, or start in a different
position within your object, see Pattern Fill Options later in this
tutorial. Note how one repeat of the pattern you chose fits exactly
into a 2" square. The default size for pattern fills is 2".
The guides are placed at the pattern repeat from the bottom left corner.
