A Final Word

In this column we completed our presentation of a browser-independent streaming media jukebox. The main idea is to embed both the ActiveX control and the plugin in the HTML page. Internet Explorer uses the first form, while Netscape Navigator uses the second implementation. The ActiveX control's methods and events are similar to the plugin's. The properties are different in that they need set and get methods for setting and getting them in the plugin. In Column 53, A Streaming Media JukeBox, Part III, we presented the control's properties beginning with the letters A through E. In this column we presented the remainder of the control's properties, those starting with the letters F through Z.
