One of the proprietary features of Netscape Navigator is the <BLINK> tag. Netscape 6 does not support this tag. Instead, the W3C Standard calls for support of the text-decoration:blink feature in the STYLE attribute. The standard requires browsers to parse the text-docoration element, but does not require the blinking operation itself. Neverthesless, the text-decoration:blink feature is supported by both Netscape Navigator and Netscape 6. It is not supported by Internet Explorer. Both Netscape Navigator and Netscape 6 should blink at this line. Internet Explorer does not support any automatic blinking. The best way to become browser-independent is to implement the blinking yourself, by revealing and hiding the element, automatically.
