Web services can be quite powerful as well as complicated. Let's take the StockQuote service, hosted by www.eggheadcafe.com, for example. Download Stock.xsl and webservice1.htc, and TestWebServiceBehavior.html to your own computer, and into the same directory. Load the html file in your browser and play around with the Stock Quote service. For the embedded example in the html file (get quotes for YHOO, IBM, and MSFT), you should get the following screen (wait for a few seconds to get and display the message):
