~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. NEW BOOKS: JavaScript, Measuring the Web, PHP, Tuning
What hot new developer books are available? Glad you asked. I'm reading two now, "Measuring the Success of Your Website" by Prentice Hall and "Practical JavaScript for the Usable Web" by Glasshaus. The first shows how to set up and use a measurement framework for your site. The second shows the fundamentals of writing cross-browser, client-side JavaScript for real Web applications. There are a lot of Flash MX books coming out this month. Hmmm, you think Macromedia is onto something? "Programming PHP" and "Web Performance Tuning," 2nd Ed. from O'Reilly round out the new books now out for developers.
