Next UIConf interviews author Nathan Shedroff on "experience design." First Monday is out, and their copyright article strikes a good balance.
The big news this week is the continuing saga of Eolas vs. Microsoft. Microsoft now says it will alter IE to accommodate the plug-in patent, we offer some workarounds. Eolas now wants Microsoft to stop distributing IE.

Microsoft Alters IE Over Eolas Suit
In Microsoft's altered browser, web developers must update methods used in web pages with ActiveX Controls or users will face a dialog box asking them to click "OK" for the web browser to load the control, Microsoft officials said. Sideshow has some workarounds that developers can use, including JavaScript to launch embedded objects. In a related story, Eolas wants to prevent Microsoft from distributing its browser.
