Carriage returns and line feeds don't count for much in HTML documents, but
there are times when they're useful. This sample shows how to take a

No, I'm not using this newsletter as a forum to speak out against laws that I think are dumb ... but now that you mentioned it.... Oh well, back to business. This is a Web site that has collected laws from all the 50 states (some foreign countries too) that just don't make sense. Here are a few samples. Enjoy!
A Federal law states that it's illegal to give free alcohol to Indians who
live on reservations. In California, women may not drive in a house coat.
In Tennessee, you can't shoot any game other than whales from a moving
automobile. In Florida, it's illegal to sing in a public place while
attired in a swimsuit. In Connecticut, it's illegal to dispose of used
razor blades. In New York, the penalty for jumping off a building is death.
And in Wyoming, it's illegal for women to stand within five feet of a bar
while drinking.

Officials at software developer CodeWeavers Wednesday said developers using
its product will be able to create Mac versions of Windows applications
using its software.

At next week's JavaOne show Oracle plans to give away JDeveloper 10g kits
free to all developers. Rick Schultz, vice president of product marketing
for Oracle Fusion Middleware, said that Oracle is giving away the
development environment to stimulate interest in the platform. JDeveloper
10g normally sets corporations back $995 per seat.
