"I wanted a four-letter domain name, for ease of use - not to mention all my friends
would be amazed. Plus, I wanted something that would be in reference to the car I had just bought.
And I wanted a domain name that would fit on my license plate. I had one before, but it was 6
letters, so I obviously couldn't get the .com part on. Well, I can't believe my luck - I bought
this domain name only 3-4 months ago - it was still available!"

Michael Sauers
|
Registered in 1999 for a Green 1997 Saturn SL Wagon.
|
Michael is a librarian and Internet Trainer for the Bibliographical Center
for Research, a non-profit organization serving libraries in seven states.
One day a co-worker noticed that his Saturn was almost the same green as the
green used in the organizations logos and that Colorado plates were similar
to the organization's logo. The best part was that the URL was actually
short enough to fit on the plate.

Richard Sitbon
|
Registered in 1996, many on the Web make claims to the name - but Rich has the plates!
|
"I started Prime Data Internet in 1996. With my unusual last
name I was constantly asked to spell it. When one gal said she would
tell her boss, "Rich - the WebGuy came by...", I knew it would be easier than
spelling my name. To this day I am known around town by that name and the
services I offer."
