JavaScript Cookies:
Making the Most from the Drudgery of Others
Summary
Summary
Cookies can be very useful and can help provide a personalized experience for Web site visitors. They also take a lot of the burden off the user to retain large amounts of information. For these simple reasons, cookies are a necessary part of the Web experience and continue to evolve.
Programmers of all kinds give the fruits of their labor for all to use for free (in some cases), and it would be foolish to ignore them or not otherwise utilize these resources.
Here I have taken freely available scripts and used them for my (our) own good - just make sure that the proper credit and copyright information is provided with any scripts you alter. You only have to make slight modifications (as we did) to make them work for you.
The examples used here are from WebReference.com, in particular Doc JavaScript. Thanks Doc!
