The Date() object utilizes several methods, which are detailed below. Note that the time is given either according to local time (the time as stated on the visitor's computer) or according to universal time. A few of the methods have been deprecated, and have been marked as such. They are shown here so you will know them if you run into an older script or tutorial.

Returns the hour in the specified date according to local time. [ 0 - 23 ] |
getDay() |
Returns the day of the week for the specified date according to local time. [ 0 (Sunday) to 6 (Saturday) ] |
